Boost FMCG Efficiency with Smarter Thinking
Facing skyrocketing global demand, particularly from key European and U.S. markets, Dexion employed its smarter thinking approach for Sistema’s expanding plastic food storage and cooking container business. An Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) was implemented, effortlessly managing over 15,000 pallets in a multi-deep setup. This system, equipped with five storage and retrieval machines, was complemented by a robust pallet conveyor system featuring four elevators and two high-speed transfer cars, ensuring swift and seamless movement of goods.
Meanwhile, Kimberly-Clark was contending with outdated supply chain processes in a highly competitive market. Dexion introduced a comprehensive solution, overhauling their business processes, encompassing everything from product barcodes to pallet sizes and the optimisation of regional distribution hubs. Crucially, operational staff were involved from the testing phase, ensuring the solution was not only theoretically sound but also practical, focusing on resolving issues and fostering early buy-in for the new system.
In both scenarios, Dexion’s solutions transcended mere product transportation; they represented smart, seamless integration and adaptation to the fast-paced demands of the FMCG sector, maintaining continuous movement and flow of goods.
